The ideal candidate will assist in the preparation and cooking of delicious meals, maintain a clean and organized kitchen, and support the kitchen staff in all aspects of food service. This role is essential in ensuring the highest standards of food quality and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Food Preparation:
    • Assist in the preparation of ingredients by washing, chopping, and measuring.
    • Follow recipes and instructions from the head chef to prepare and cook meals.
    • Ensure that food is prepared in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Cooking:
    • Cook simple dishes under the guidance of the head chef.
    • Monitor food quality and presentation to maintain high standards.
    • Assist in plating and garnishing dishes.
  • Kitchen Maintenance:
    • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen by washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment.
    • Ensure all kitchen areas are clean, sanitized, and adhere to health and safety regulations.
    • Assist in the disposal of waste and recycling.
  • Inventory and Stock Management:
    • Help with inventory management by checking stock levels and notifying the head chef of shortages.
    • Assist in receiving and storing deliveries properly.
  • Team Collaboration:
    • Work closely with kitchen Chef to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations.
    • Communicate effectively with team members and provide support as needed.



Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required.
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Willingness to learn and take direction from senior kitchen staff.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Capable of lifting up to 25 pounds.
  • Comfortable working in a hot and busy kitchen environment.
