This is a full-time on-site role for a Systems Engineer II, with West 4th Strategy located at NIWC Pacific in San Diego. The Systems Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the creation of hybrid software, web, and hardware products from initial specifications to final rollout and maintenance. The engineer will integrate various network operating systems, application programs, and hardware devices, managing the development cycle to produce resilient software, hardware, and web applications. This role demands considerable experience in system of systems design and development, particularly for C4ISR systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee the creation of hybrid software, web, and hardware products from initial specifications to final rollout.
Integrate various network operating systems, application programs, and hardware devices.
Oversee the production of resilient software, hardware, and web applications.
Oversee specification, design, coding, testing, and maintenance.
Manage the overall integration and performance of systems.
REQUIRED EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college or university.
Applied science, computing, engineering, mathematics, physics, management information systems AND OR.
Other related engineering or computer science discipline.
REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE (THREE YEARS WITHIN PAST SEVEN YEARS)
Experience in data management, reduction, and analysis for C4ISR systems.
Experience designing tests and laboratory analyses, and interpreting research results.
Experience in system of systems design and development for C4ISR systems.
Experience in architecting, reviewing, analyzing, testing, and modifying systems designs.
Experience in implementations for C4ISR systems.
DESRIED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE (FIVE YEARS WITHIN PAST TEN YEARS)
Experience with Open Architecture Constructs:
Sensor Open Systems Architecture (SOSA).
Command, Control, Communications, Computers
Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance (C5ISR)
Electronic Warfare Modular Open Suite of Standards (CMOSS).
Open Mission Systems (OMS).
Open Communication Standard (OCS).
Experience utilizing the Universal Command and Control Interface (UCI).
Experience with Communication Capabilities:
Low Probability of Detection (LPD) waveforms.
Low Probability of Intercept (LPI) waveforms.
Anti-jam capabilities in communication systems.

Ability to obtain access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).

Travel Required to various locations within the United States.
WORK HOURS
Monday through Thursday 7:15 AM to 4:45 PM and Friday 7:15 AM to 3:45 PM.
Every other Friday is a non-workday.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include the use of computer monitor screens up to 80% of the time.
