The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional skills in building supplier relationships, optimizing processes, and driving cost savings. As our Purchasing Manager, we need someone with a dynamic skillset to lead our Procurement Department with confidence and finesse.   • Keep the flow of ingredients, packaging, and consumables steady to meet our operational demands.
  • Work hand-in-hand with other leaders to introduce new products and address any supply chain challenges.
  • Develop and execute inventory management strategies to minimize waste and maintain optimal supply levels.
  • Source high-quality ingredients for our products, keeping an eye out for new and innovative options.
  • Act as a bridge between our suppliers and internal teams, resolving any issues that arise along the way.
  • Scout for new vendors, assess their capabilities, and negotiate the best prices for our materials.
  • Use data-driven metrics to track performance and identify areas for improvement within our procurement processes.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to find creative solutions that drive cost savings and efficiency gains.
  • Issue requests for quotes and proposals, ensuring we choose the best sources for our needs.
  • Manage supply agreements and ensure compliance with all terms and conditions.

Qualifications to be a Purchasing Manager:

  • Strong ability to excel both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • In-depth understanding of enterprise dynamics and the critical role procurement plays in overall organizational success.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, vital for effectively conveying intricate information to leadership.
  • Proven track record of effectively managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines with precision.
  • Demonstrated proactive problem-solving abilities and a keen sense of urgency in addressing challenges.
  • A talent for devising creative solutions to complex business issues, coupled with a strategic mindset.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and other relevant software; familiarity with MAS 500 is advantageous.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Finance, Operations, Engineering, or Supply Chain.
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in Strategic Sourcing, Negotiating, and Contracts; experience within the nutritional supplements industry is a desirable asset.
  • Possession of certifications such as CPSM or APICS would be highly advantageous.
