 The Role

 

As Director of Marketing, you will be responsible for strategizing, developing, and executing a marketing program aimed at driving growth and enhancing the firm's brand image.

 

The Marketing Director is responsible for planning, coordinating, developing, and executing content across all platforms with an emphasis on reaching and engaging existing & new clients, centers of influence, lawyers & CPA’s. (Directly and indirectly).

 

 

Key job duties

Strategic Planning: Develop and execute the firm's overall marketing strategy, aligning it with the business goals and objectives. This includes identifying target markets, conducting market research, and creating marketing plans to attract clients interested in investment services.

Brand Development: The marketing director will play a crucial role in building and maintaining the firm's brand identity. This involves developing a unique value proposition, creating a consistent brand image across various channels, and ensuring brand messaging resonates with the target audience.

Campaign Management: Oversee the development and implementation of marketing campaigns to promote the firm's investment offerings. This includes designing and coordinating digital and traditional marketing campaigns, managing advertising channels, and tracking campaign effectiveness.

Content Creation: To engage and educate clients, the marketing director will oversee the creation of compelling content. This can include articles, blog posts, social media content, whitepapers, videos, and other materials that demonstrate the firm's expertise in the financial industry and investment options.

Digital Marketing: Focusing on leveraging online channels effectively. This includes managing the firm's website, optimizing it for search engines (SEO), implementing pay-per-click (PPC) advertising, developing email marketing campaigns, and utilizing social media platforms to reach and engage with clients.

Client Relationship Management: Working closely with the client service team to support client acquisition and retention efforts. This involves understanding client needs and preferences, developing targeted marketing strategies, and collaborating on initiatives that enhance the client experience.

 

Education/Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Marketing Communications, or a related field 

3+ years of experience in digital advertising account management, marketing strategy/consulting or brand management; ideally some of those years in a start-up environment.

Experience with growth strategy using all acquisition marketing channels including owned and operated channels, business development, social and events.

Exceptional writing and editorial skills, with demonstrated ability to create engaging original content across a wide variety of channels and media 

Solid organizational skills with strong attention to detail; must have the discipline and focus on handling multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment as well as managing internal and external resources

Proven experience managing paid ad campaigns across LinkedIn and Google Ads

Solid experience with web and marketing analytics

Experience working with the following software: Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office and WordPress

 

 

How You Will Make An Impact

Work closely with asset manager partners to identify and/or craft educational material on current market environments and relevant investment strategies

Submit asset manager marketing material to compliance for approval and use with Sales team

Craft messaging and sound bites on our funds that can be used by Sales teams

Create and manage the execution of investment-related articles and campaigns

Partner with Investment Research to develop product sales ideas that include illustrations and variable investment option stories

Update marketing material when investment line-up changes

Lead large scale, multi-channel marketing campaigns that drive measurable business results.

Deep understanding of marketing techniques and channels – SEO, paid search, influencer/affiliate marketing, paid social, platform display, programmatic media, broadcast television and radio.

Responsible for keeping the company current on digital and consumer trends – including digital advertising, emerging platforms, measurement techniques, consumer behavior.

Keep abreast of world-class tools and resources and make recommendations for investment.
