We are currently hiring for:  Lead Accounts Payable Associate

 

As a Lead Accounts Payable Associate, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing the accounts payable function within our organization. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of payments to vendors, maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures, and providing leadership to a team of accounts payable associates.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Supervision and Leadership

·         Lead and supervise a team of accounts payable associates, providing guidance, training, and support.

·         Ensure that team members adhere to established policies and procedures and maintain high standards of accuracy and efficiency.              

 

Payment Processing:

·         Oversee the processing of invoices and payments to vendors in a timely manner.

·         Review and approve payment batches prepared by the accounts payable team.

·         Ensure that all payments are accurate, properly coded, and compliant with company policies and relevant regulations.

 

Financial Reporting:

·         Assist in month-end closing activities related to accounts payable, including reconciliations and reporting.

·         Prepare regular reports on accounts payable activities and metrics for management review.

               

Process Improvement:

·         Identify opportunities for process improvements within the accounts payable function.

·         Implement changes to streamline workflows, enhance efficiency, and reduce costs.

 

Compliance and Audit:

·         Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting principles, and regulatory requirements.

·         Coordinate audits related to accounts payable and provide necessary documentation and support.

 

Qualifications:

·         Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.

·         Proven experience (X years) in accounts payable or similar role, with at least X years in a supervisory capacity.

·         Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.

·         Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.

·         Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel.

·         Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

·         Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

·         Candidate must successfully pass post-offer/pre-employment drug and background screen.
