LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE DESIGNER I JOB CAPTAIN

We are seeking a full-time landscape designer with 3-6 years of experience working in a landscape firm for our San Diego office.

Urban Arena is a multi-disciplinary firm on the cutting edge of architecture, landscape architecture, planning, & design. With offices in San Diego, Costa Mesa, and Oakland, UA attracts a diverse group of professionals working on a range of projects from urban villages, retail & entertainment centers, model homes, master-planned residential communities, high-density housing, and sports complexes.

We are looking for a creative individual to join our team and assist in the design and creation of a diverse mix of projects.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Independently completes tasks with minimal direction from Project Managers

· Manages the production of and helps prepare deliverables

· Manages and mentors Project Designers

· Performs quality control checks on work produced by team members

· Interacts with Clients and Consultants occasionally

Key Knowledge, Skills, and Other Abilities

· Basic management skills such as multitasking, organization, time management, and professionalism

· Proficiency in AutoCAD

· Experience with Microsoft Office Suite programs

· Experience with InDesign, Land F/X, and SketchUp, and Photoshop is a plus

Education/Experience Requirements

· 3-5 years of industry work experience

· Bachelor’s or master’s degree in landscape architecture or at least four years of industry work experience benefits

· Medical, dental, vision, and basic life AD&D insurance

· 401(k)

· Alternative work schedule of in-office Monday-Thursday, 7:30 am to 5:30 pm, and every Friday 8 am to 12 pm remotely. After 90 days of employment, will be given an additional remote workday of your choosing
