Financial Analyst – Aerospace Manufacturing

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field.

· 2–3 years of experience in a manufacturing setting.

· A good understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley regulations is advantageous.

· Must be a legal US Citizen in compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

· Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) knowledge.

Cost Accounting 

 

Role Overview:

The Financial Analyst is responsible for a range of accounting and financial tasks that support financial operations, reporting, analysis, cost management, and interpretation. This position offers recommendations to leadership and advises Finance and Operations staff on these areas.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the month-end closing activities, oversee the general ledger, produce monthly journal entries, and perform account reconciliations.

• Develop and scrutinize financial statements and internal reports.

• Generate a variety of reports on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.

• Engage in product cost analysis comparing actual costs to standard, and compute cost savings. Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and determining activity rates.

• Oversee the management of fixed assets.

• Handle the preparation and submission of various taxes and external reports, including but not limited to Sales & Use taxes, 1099 forms, property taxes, and census filings.

• Contribute to Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and reporting tasks.

• Undertake additional responsibilities and projects as needed.
