Job Title: Accounting/Admin/HR Manager

Trautner Geotech is a Geotechnical Engineering/Material Testing company which provides comprehensive field and laboratory services for construction and development projects. We are seeking a full-time Accounting and Human Resource Manager, responsible for overseeing day-to-day office activities, organization, and compliance management for the Durango Colorado and Cortez Colorado offices. This position will primarily report to the Durango office with occasional visits to the Cortez office.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for accounting duties including monthly P&L statements, accounts payable/receivable, processing invoices, and managing deposits.
  • Complete all year-end financial activities within the accounting system (SAGE).
  • Submit all company information for the business’ taxes to the company’s CPA in a timely manner.
  • Submit employee hours to The Payroll Department semi-monthly
  • Coordinates and monitors day-to-day office operations to ensure company requirements and policies are met.
  • Provides Human Resources support to all employees. These include areas such as payroll, benefit administration, company procedures, personnel issues, employee reviews, and maintaining employee confidential files.
  • Coordinates and oversees the completion of special projects as needed, such as, Department of Transportation, Tribal permits and reporting, federal operating documents, and OSHA reporting.
  • Ensures the efficient operation of all office equipment and works with IT support to schedule routine and required maintenance as needed. Also maintains general office inventory and supplies as needed.
  • Oversees the Professional/Liability Insurance annual renewal.
  • Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

Skills:

  • Previous accounting/billing experience necessary, preferably with SAGE software.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to details
  • Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
  • Reliable, responsive, and quick to follow-through on employee or customer concerns and issues
  • Strong aptitude in employee relations and building trust
  • Self-starter with the ability to solve problems and provide solutions to a dynamic work environment
  • Work autonomously and complete projects with minimal supervision
  • Have knowledge and experience in business operation, management and administration

Software: MS Office, Excel, Word, Sage

Education/Experience:

  • 5 years of previous accounting, office management and or executive administration experience
  • BA/BS (in lieu of degree, combination of relevant skills and equivalent experience). Prior experience in office management required

Compensation:

  • Salary + benefits commensurate with experience. Range of $60-80K/year.
