To help keep up with our growing client demands, we have an opportunity for Food Service Worker in Tampa FLORIDA USA 33610 to join our team.

The Food Service Worker is responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to food preparation, service, and maintenance of food service areas. This role ensures that food is prepared and served in a clean, safe, and efficient manner while providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Food Preparation:

    • Assist in preparing and cooking food items according to established recipes and standards.
    • Measure and mix ingredients, and ensure food is cooked to the appropriate temperature.
    • Follow safety and sanitation guidelines during food preparation and handling.

  2. Food Service:

    • Serve food to customers or patients according to their orders or dietary requirements.
    • Ensure that food presentation is attractive and in accordance with quality standards.
    • Respond to customer inquiries and resolve any issues related to food service.

  3. Cleanliness and Sanitation:

    • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas.
    • Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
    • Clean and sanitize work surfaces, equipment, and floors according to health and safety regulations.

  4. Stock Management:

    • Assist with inventory management, including receiving and storing food and supplies.
    • Monitor stock levels and notify supervisors when supplies are low.

  5. Safety and Compliance:

    • Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards to prevent contamination and ensure a safe environment.
    • Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

  6. Customer Service:

    • Provide friendly and efficient service to customers or clients.
    • Handle transactions, including operating cash registers or processing payments when required.

  7. Team Collaboration:

    • Work collaboratively with other team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
    • Assist with training new staff members as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Prior experience in a food service or kitchen environment is an advantage but not always required.
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical ability to lift and move items, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.

Work Environment:

  • Food Service Workers typically work in kitchens, dining areas, or food preparation spaces.
  • They may be required to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, depending on the establishment’s needs.
