We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join our team You will be responsible for preparing and analyzing financial records for our company.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and examine accounting records, financial statements, taxes, and other financial reports
  • Perform daily accounts receivable audits
  • Create new processes to improve financial efficiency
  • Report analysis and findings to management team

​Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for timely posting of all customer payments.

· Maintains files and record keeping of all necessary backup documentation.

· Processes credit card payments as necessary.

· Posts revenues by verifying and entering transactions from daily bank reports.

· Creates, updates, and maintains daily and weekly spreadsheets.

· Verifies validity of account discrepancies by obtaining and investigating information from invoices, branches, and customers.

· Successfully resolves payment issues with research and communication with franchise owners and customers.

· Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.

· Follows all established controls, which maintain the integrity of the Company’s accounting system, processes, and data.

· Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.

· Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in accounting or other related fields required
  • Fundamental knowledge of GAAP
  • Experience with current computer accounting programs and reporting tools
  • Detail and deadline-oriented
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

· Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and payment processing

· Proven ability to calculate, post, and research accounts receivable data

· Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Microsoft Excel) along with hands-on experience in operating spreadsheets and accounting software. Great Plains experience a plus

· Excellent data entry skills are a must.

· High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

· Highly organized with a sense of urgency and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

· Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer services skills

· Confidentiality and the ability to work directly with upper management.

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting of Finance required.

4-6 years of experience in Accounting or related field required.

Supervisory experience required.
