Our practice is growing and we are adding a full-time authorization coordinator to our team

We are a busy cardiology practice with 4 locations (Dearborn, Taylor, Berkley, and Rochester) and 9 providers. This position will be located in our headquarter office in Dearborn.

The ideal candidate is reliable, has a positive attitude, and great work ethic.

Duties:

  • Answer and respond to calls/emails from patients, their families, our office staff, and hospitals while providing excellent customer service
  • Gather data and confirm accurate information needed to obtain authorizations
  • Verify all patient insurances for office visits, testing, and procedures
  • Obtain insurance referrals/authorizations in a timely manner
  • Effectively communicate with patients, their families, our office staff, and hospitals regarding authorizations
  • Promote proactive and positive communication with co-workers, patients, patients families, and hospitals

Qualifications:

  • Experience in a medical office REQUIRED
  • Experience in insurance authorizations REQUIRED
  • Experience in customer service REQUIRED
  • Experience in cardiology PREFERRED
