Digital Content Marketing Manager

Position Summary:
The Digital Content Marketing Manager will manage the creation and distribution of digital content for Global Marketing teams to engage digital audiences, support ministry wide campaigns, and grow digital audiences across a variety of platforms. This role will support global teams in making their digital content more discoverable, engaging, and user friendly. The role will advocate for end user experiences which empowers Our Daily Bread Ministries’ digital marketing teams around the world to support strategic ministry initiatives.
Essential Functions:
- Lead a team of designers, copywriters and SFMC engagement specialists to develop engaging digital journeys across all marketing platforms.
- Oversee and manage the development of digital content for a variety of platforms including social media, email Optimizely and WordPress websites, texting tools, You Tube and more.
- Research, define requirements, Test, and QA marketing automation solutions for further development of SFMC, including sign-up forms, SMS, What’s App, website tracking, CDP, and CRM integration.
- “Lead” to create digital first content and grow user engagement on global digital platforms.
- Develop standards and policies that encourage sustainable growth and desirable user experiences for our global audiences.
- Work closely with global teams to help train staff, automate marketing solutions, and support regional goals and ministry initiatives.
- Steward the Salesforce marketing segmentation with respect to data privacy and compliance regulations; content interests and engagement behaviors; as well as language, geographic and demographic data to nurture the subscribers’ relationship with ODBM and its affiliated brands.
- Direct the building and QA of SFMC emails, journeys, integrations.
- Benchmark criteria to measure the effectiveness of email marketing programs and implement improvements as required.
- Lead the development of and optimize landing pages for digital marketing campaigns.
- Work with the data science team to track and analyze campaign results to measure performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Work with marketing team members to develop and implement content marketing strategies.
- Stay up to date on marketing automation, digital marketing trends and best practices.
- Work with other marketing team members to ensure that digital marketing efforts are aligned with the ministry’s overall marketing goals.
Job Title: Digital Content Marketing Manager
Study or Knowledge or Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications or related are of focus.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in email marketing and digital marketing efforts.
- Proficient in running email marketing campaigns and marketing automation from inception through execution and maintenance.
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
- Extensive email marketing etiquette and communication skills.
- Experienced user of email marketing and analytics platforms preferred.
- Strong writing skills are critical.
- Demonstrated ability to be a self-starter and show initiative in dealing with other individuals/groups/vendors.
- Preferred an understanding of HTML and CSS.
- Strive to live a life consistent with biblical principles, engaged with the Bible on a consistent basis and demonstrate continued growth and spiritual development.
Internal Work Environment:
Must be capable of diplomatic partnership style communication with all ministry efforts team(s) and global offices. Persuasion, discretion, and tact needed to educate and gain support for marketing efforts with individuals and/or groups throughout the organization.
External Communication:
High degrees of communication require in networking with other organizations, consultants, and vendors. Professionalism, tact, and persuasion required.
Leadership Responsibility:
Provide and lead marketing direction for email marketing. Collaborate and give directions to project managers on assigned tasks. The ability to lead with excellence and provide explanation of marketing efforts to involved departments/individuals so that all involved fully understand project goals, expected results, and required services. Provide direction and clarity on decisions affecting email marketing efforts regarding offers, scheduling, and related needs. Responsible for decisions that will affect how our public views ODBM.
Stewardship of Resources:
Under the direction of Digital Marketing Campaign Manager, responsible for the continued success of email marketing-related marketing efforts.
Miscellaneous:
Some domestic travel required.
