Position Summary: The Administrative Assistant position provides support to managers, other employees, and office visitors by handling a variety of tasks in order to ensure that all interactions between the Company and others are positive and productive. Mercury Broadband is looking for a multi-tasker with excellent communication skills and the ability to handle a rapidly changing work environment. Candidates should be professional, polite, and attentive while also being accurate. The right candidate will be capable of handling a variety of challenges and should possess a genuine desire to meet the needs of others.

Location: Mission, KS
Position Type: Full-Time. Not a remote position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle office tasks such as generating reports, setting up meetings, and reordering supplies.
  • Provide real-time scheduling support by organizing meetings and preventing conflicts.
  • Assist the executive management team with administrative support.
  • Provide data entry support across departments on an ad-hoc basis
  • Type in data and use Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint quickly and efficiently
  • Perform routine bookkeeping and assist with special projects
  • Making travel arrangements, such as booking flights, and cars, and making hotel and restaurant reservations
  • Assist with coordination among utility companies, municipalities, and permitting agencies.
  • Use computers to generate reports and conduct research.
  • Ensure mail received is scanned and distributed to the appropriate department.
  • Greet and assist visitors
  • Maintain polite and professional communication via phone, E-mail, and mail

Skills and Requirements:

  • Proficient with appropriate software including: Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat
  • 3 years of Administrative Assistant experience
  • Professional level verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfortable with routinely shifting demands
  • High degree of attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of general office equipment
  • Certified Notary Public preferred

Education Requirements:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
  • Associate degree in Business Administration preferred
