The purpose of the Senior Buyer is leading the Capital and Site Services categories, by developing, implementing, and executing a supply strategy based on market conditions, business needs and available resources. In this role, the Senior Buyer will manage relationships with suppliers, manufacturing, project management and operations. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong negotiation skills and a deep understanding of procurement processes in complex environments.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop Supply Strategies aligned with business objectives and market conditions.
  • Use negotiation skills to achieve favorable terms and sustainable agreements with suppliers.
  • RFx management by leading the preparation and issuance of RFIs, RFQs and RFPs to effectively select the right supplier.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive continuous improvement initiatives within Site Services and Capital.
  • Negotiate contractual agreements by understanding and applying legal fundamentals.
  • Collaborate closely with manufacturing, project management, and operations teams to optimize procurement processes and support project milestones.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration or related fields.
  • 3+ years of progressive experience as a Buyer in a procurement function, preferably within a chemical or related industry.
  • Professional Proficiency in MS Office

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in contract management, construction, or engineering-related procurement.
  • Experience with Capital Expenditure (Capex) projects, including engagement with engineering firms.
