Job Summary

The Senior Buyer-Contract Analyst will play a critical role in ensuring seamless procurement operations while maintaining high levels of end user satisfaction. This unique combination role involves sourcing and purchasing goods and services, negotiating with suppliers, and managing vendor relationships, as well as handling inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer needs are met promptly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Commit hospital funds up to authorized limits established by the institution, ensuring proper approvals are present on capital equipment requisitions and service agreements.
  • Maintain a detailed knowledge of contract policies and procedures, critically analyzing agreements to determine if policy triggers are present and requiring legal review.
  • Facilitate and participate in the CLM system to manage, analyze, and process contract data for the institution, adhering to St. Jude policies and guidelines.
  • Reconcile receiving and AP discrepancies by coordinating with Accounts Payable, Warehouse staff, customers, and vendors as appropriate.
  • Perform lead functions, problem-solving, and training, sharing knowledge and educating departmental, research, and hospital staff to follow St. Jude policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain positive, professional relationships with all internal and external customers.
  • Enhance professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings, and workshops.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or directed to meet the goals and objectives of the department.

Requirements

  • Four (4) years purchasing experience required, preferably in healthcare.
  • Contract processing and review experience preferred.
  • High School Diploma/GED required; Bachelor's degree with emphasis in business administration or economics preferred.

Compensation

In recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws, St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets, experience, and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $54,080 - $94,640 per year for the role of Senior Buyer-Contract Analyst.
