JOB DESCRIPTION

The Account Manager – Outside Sales role is responsible for identifying leads and supporting customers through the sales cycle. This position reports to the Director of Sales/CEO and collaborates with operations related to installation, delivery, and disposal. A typical day in this position might include attending a sales team meeting, working with the design team to specify a project, and connecting with prospects regarding the services that CFS has to offer. Successful sales team members are self-starters and problem solvers. They are organized leaders that share in our team vision of prioritizing customer service, honesty, and integrity.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Attend and participate in sales and company meetings
  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities
  • Move customers efficiently through the sales cycle
  • Manage and support projects from order placement through installation
  • Communicate projects and forecasts with management, operations, and finance
  • Meet and exceed performance goals set by the management team
  • Participate in marketing, networking and community events as specified by management
  • Other functions and duties as set forth from time to time

REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Graduate/GED
  • Current/Valid Drivers’ License
  • Willingness to learn, grow, and develop both personally and professionally
  • Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
  • Detail oriented with the ability to take accurate notes during all client and vendor interactions
  • Pro-active; self-motivated with a can-do attitude

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Experience in Sales, Customer Service, or Account/Project Management
  • Knowledge of commercial furniture products and services
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Highly motivated; excellent time management practices; able to prioritize working on multiple projects for importance and scheduling
  • A person who can work successfully with all CFS employees, clients and their teams – a collaborative attitude
  • Having a high level of conceptual creativity, innovative thinking and problem-solving
  • Demonstrate interest in continuing education and professional development
  • Being flexible, adaptable and detail-oriented
  • Able to be professional and, have fun with CFS staff and clients

HOURS/EXPECTATIONS

  • Full-time, 40+ hours per week.
  • FSLA Exempt
