Columbia Security Tech Description

This position requires the technician to install and train the customer on the product on how to use it. This will eliminate the need for go-backs and help retain customers. It is a Monday-Friday position beginning at 8am and going to the last install, normally around 5 but that can fluctuate. The number of jobs per day varies but it\'s anywhere from 1-3 depending on the equipment that needs to be installed. Again, they are big on customer service so techs are not rushed to complete the most number of jobs possible. There is on call and the techs rotate once every 6 weeks. On call is after hours (5 pm onward) Monday-Sunday but only have to be available by phone.

1) Alarm Panel Troubleshooting Experience- They install and program Qolsys equipment with alarm.com integration.
2) Residential Experience
3) Customer Service & Upselling- someone who is going to educate the customer on the product.

Additional Information

There is a 90 day probationary period after which performance will be reviewed. This will be based on overall quality, amount of go-backs that are the techs fault, and overall punctuality/timeliness.

 

Techs are not pressed to complete as many jobs as possible.
They are not paid for what they install, they get paid hourly.
Direct placement.
There is the opportunity for training and certifications.
Company vehicle with gas card. 401K after a year of employment and 1 week of PTO after a year of employment.
