Performance Foot & Ankle is seeking an energetic and motivated back office medical assistant to join our team. Our back office medical assistants work in the field of Podiatry with a focus on providing high quality patient care and excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working full-time . This position requires some travel within nearby cities.

 

Detailed job duties:

  • Provides patient care and support to the medical staff.
  • Assures that all patients are being treated in a timely manner, including but not limited to: checking their blood pressure, taking vital signs, answering phones, etc.
  • Recording information on medications taken from physicians or other health care providers as needed.
  • Maintains records of appointments made at the time of appointment (ie., billing, discharge planning).
  • Performs routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning up after treatment rooms, restrooms, toilets.
  • The back office medical assistant is responsible for the administration of medical records and patient care.
  • This position will be based in our office located within a medical building.
  • Duties will include providing excellent customer service to patients by answering phones, responding quickly to requests from physicians and arranging appointments.

Qualifications:

  • Must have Medical Assistance Certificate
  • Must be able to work in an office environment
  • Must have the ability and willingness to learn new skills, as well as develop professional relationships with others
  • Ability of working independently or collaboratively
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Excellent customer service skills
