GENERAL PURPOSE

To assist the lead Estimator in development and completion of company estimates through the efficient and meticulous organization of project procurement processes prior and following take-off.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

· Able to Identify and Read Transportation Civil & Electrical Plans

· Fully Asist the Lead Estimator on pursuing projects.

· Following up with General Contractors.

· Outreaching to Subcontractors and Vendors.

· Bid item Data Entry into our Biding system.

· Perform Bid Takeoffs.

· Outreach to Agencies on projects.

· Able to submit bids in a timely manner.

· Delivery of Bids to agencies.

· Organize and manage our Transportation bid schedule.

· Track, organize and manage logs of projects awarded, completed and pending.

· Locate, download and print procurement documentation (i.e. plans and specifications).

· Requests quotations for subcontractor and vendor items.

· Supports the timely submittal of comprehensive and well-developed proposals to perspective owners and/or general contractors.

· Populates bid documents and routes for signature.

· Attend pre-bid meetings and job walks.

· Assists with picking up/dropping off necessary paperwork to appropriate agencies.

· Adheres to the Company’s Alcohol and Drug Free Policy at all times.

· Must have the ability to work efficiently and independently with little guidance and/or supervision.

· Must maintain reliable attendance and punctuality.

· Performs other duties as assigned.

  • PC skills in Bidding Software, Adobe PDF, Bluebeam MS Word, Excel, Outlook.
