Position Overview
TRC is looking for a Mid-Level Civil/Environmental Engineer to join our expanding Environmental, Construction & Remediation team. This role is based out of our Lowell, MA headquarters and offers a flexible work arrangement that includes remote options.

Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Senior Project Managers to define project scope, budget, and execution plans for remediation initiatives.
- Prepare for field activities by developing work plans and coordinating with subcontractors and clients.
- Effectively delegate tasks to junior staff to achieve project objectives.
- Mentor and guide emerging engineering talent through collaboration and diverse assignments.
- Analyze geological, hydrogeological, and chemical data from contaminated sites, working alongside TRC's geologists and hydrogeologists to develop conceptual site models.
- Design and implement soil and groundwater remediation systems, including rationale development and cost estimation.
- Assist in creating field work plans and oversee field execution.
- Prepare permit applications for air and groundwater discharge.
- Write and review technical documents and reports, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
- Maintain quality assurance and control for all project outputs, adhering to TRC's established procedures.
- Work effectively within dynamic project teams and support junior staff.
- Meet billable utilization targets while adhering to project budgets and schedules with minimal supervision.
- Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills, with a willingness to travel for client support.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental or Civil Engineering.
- EIT certification is required; PE license in Environmental or Civil Engineering in Massachusetts or New York is a plus.
- 3-5 years of experience in groundwater and soil remediation within a consulting environment, with increasing responsibilities in task management and design.
- Field experience in construction oversight, subcontractor management, drilling, soil classification, multi-media sampling, well installations, and remediation systems.
- Familiarity with Massachusetts environmental site remediation regulations and technical guidance.
- Experience in design support, cost estimation, and procurement processes.
- 40 Hour HAZWOPER certification with current renewal.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; experience with project scheduling software is advantageous.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD is a plus.
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to established health and safety protocols.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degrees (M.S., M.Eng., or PhD) in Environmental or Civil Engineering.
- Certifications such as LSP, LEP, or LSRP are advantageous.
- Experience in project management and familiarity with New York State and Federal environmental regulations.
