Thomas Printworks is searching for a talented individual to work in our Operations team. This is an opportunity for an enthusiastic, fast learner with a 'can do', positive, and cheerful attitude to join a stable company. You must be efficient, capable of multitasking, and possess the ability to apply your experience and knowledge to new and changing situations. The successful candidate will be a multitasker and possess the ability to meet deadlines. This is a Second Shift Seamstress position based out of our Orlando, FL location.

We have been in business for over 60+ years, with 25 locations operating throughout Texas, Arizona, Florida, and Minnesota. Duties and Responsibilities:

As a seamstress, this position will be responsible for sewing and finishing signage and banners.

  • Sew signage and banners as instructed.

  • Examine the finished product for quality and accuracy.

  • Perform general maintenance of equipment as needed.

  • Perform general cleanup and maintenance of the work area

  • Deliver quality service to the customer every time.

  • Must be flexible enough to address last-minute changes and to work as part of a team.

  • Ensure deadlines are met. Notifying management of any near misses, or incorrect order information to ensure correct work reaches the customer on time.

  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.

  • Other additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Ability to read, comprehend, and interpret specific work instructions.
  • Extremely organized and able to act and follow through on projects independently
  • Standard math skills for use in alignment,
  • Multi-tasking ability is a must.
  • Detail-oriented, accountable, and have a strong proactive work ethic

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent GED (Preferred but not required)
  • Ability to properly run industrial sewing machines
  • Ability to use handheld devices for cutting and trimming
  • May be required to stand for long periods
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
