Territory Manager

Menominee Industrial Supply located in Menominee, Michigan, and a multi-state distributor in the Outdoor Power Equipment, Timber Harvesting and Industrial Supply Industries is searching for a high-energy Territory Manager located in the Wausau, Wisconsin area to increase sales and address customer needs within a territory that will include the state of Wisconsin. This territory features robust sales revenue and that is reflected in the compensation plan that includes a bonus program for qualified candidates.
Territory Managers responsibilities include presenting our products and services to current and potential customers, identifying the customer needs, and persuasively recommending purchase of those products and services that maximize value. To be successful in this role, you should have excellent communication and presentation abilities and be highly motivated to meet and surpass sales goals.
Territory Manager Responsibilities:
Act as a point of contact for existing and potential customers within assigned territory.
Answer customer questions about features, pricing, and additional services.
Providing support for customers by learning about and satisfying their needs.
Presenting and demonstrating the value of products and services to prospective customers.
Staying current on company and competitive offerings and promotions, and industry trends.
Following up with prospects several times throughout the sales cycle to ensure needs are being met.
Actively promotes and secures new customers within assigned territory.
Work closely with our internal customer support representatives to meet and surpass individual and group sales goals.
Collaborate with Territory Managers from different territories to share best practices and support a cohesive sales approach.
Territory Manager Requirements:
Prior sales experience is preferred, ideally with equipment, equipment parts and accessories, or industrial products; and/or in business-to-business selling.
The ability to prioritize individual workflow and manage multiple accounts simultaneously while looking for new customer opportunities.
Understanding of the sales process and dynamics.
A commitment to excellent customer service.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience using computers for a variety of tasks, and competency in Microsoft applications including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
Required to lift 75 lbs.
Required to sit for extended periods of time, stand, walk, bend, crouch, lift and listen.
Ability to work comfortably in a fast-paced environment and to do overnight traveling of approximately 1-2 days per week.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
