The Project Manager of Budgets provides support to the executive team by overseeing the budgets for all company projects. This role requires a unique blend of accounting expertise and construction project management skills, with equal focus on both areas. The successful candidate will be adept at analyzing budgets, managing budget codes for various projects, and ensuring financial efficiency and accuracy.

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

  • §  Oversee and manage the budgets for all residential projects.
  • Compare budget costs to benchmark pricing information, analyze quantities and scope items as well as assist in value engineering
  • Performs cost analysis and spend tracking to monitor project costs and revenue and forecast final financial outcomes.
  • §  Analyze project budgets and manage budget codes to ensure financial accuracy and efficiency.
  • §  Collaborate with all pertinent departments and team members to align project goals with budget constraints.
  • §  Enhance overall cost controls service delivery by increasing efficiency and improving processes
  • §  Prepare detailed financial reports and forecasts for ongoing and upcoming projects. Develop project accruals and forecast reports for the projects including detailed monthly, biweekly, and/or weekly as required
  • §  Provide updates to the Development department regarding potential budget overruns and/or budget line-item savings
  • §  Conduct regular budget reviews and provide insights and recommendations for cost-saving measures.
  • §  Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
  • §  Visit job sites as required to gather information and provide on-site budget management support.
  • §  Report directly to the CFO, with regular updates on budget status and financial health of projects.

 

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • §  Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • §  3-5 Years experience in construction working in the area of finance, accounting or budgeting
  • §  Proven experience in budget management, financial analysis, and project management.
  • §  Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • §  Ability to generate reports with detailed analysis
  • §  Proficiency in accounting software and project management tools.
  • §  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • §  Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • §  Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • §  Availability to be present in the office at least 3 days a week and visit job sites as necessary.
