Job DescriptionJob Description

To manage daily operations of cash compliance, inventory control and people management to achieve overall goals and objectives while providing an exceptional dining experience to customers

 

 Major Responsibilities:

●        Guide team members to meet established objectives in food safety, customers service and sales.

●        Provide professional service to all customers and vendors  

●        Ensure customers receive fast, friendly, courteous service and resolve complaints in the same manner and know when to escalate up.

●        Assist with the management of controlling food costs by conducting daily and weekly inventory counts,

●        Able to analyze financial forecasting of P&L, Sales, Food and Labor budgets 

●        Use labor margins and guidelines to generate employee weekly schedule by submission deadline

●        Ensure the integrity of all pos transactions regarding customer orders, employee meal transactions, voided sales and refunds

●        Communicate with other management, hourly employees, providing positive feedback and promoting a positive image of the restaurant

●        Actively participate in the employee hiring process by conducting interviews, making hiring decisions, onboarding and training

●        Coach, develop and discipline employees to Tops standards and guidelines

●        Perform opening and closing procedures by following checklists, procedures and safety guidelines

●        Count and monitor inventory levels of food, paper goods and cleaning supplies

●        Oversee shift change and counts down/reconciles cash drawers, deposits and safe drops

●        Comply with all cash handing policies and procedures as outlined by company policies and procedures

●        Ensure deliveries are received in accurately and products align with Tops quality standards

●        Perform and assign routine cleaning of cooking equipment, kitchen and dining areas

●        Maintain a safe and harassment-free work environment

●        Maintain safe working conditions as required by OSHA and federal, state, and local governing bodies

●        Prepare menu items according to recipe guidelines and portioning instructions

●        Monitor labor cost during shifts by adjusting headcount and break schedules

●        Able to perform all duties and responsibilities of store manager in the absence of General Manager

 

Requirements:

●        A High School Diploma/GED or equivalent managerial experience

●        Able to work a flexible schedule 

●        2- 3-year minimum supervisory experience or related experience

●        Good oral and written communication skills

●        Must be able to make effective business decisions

●        Able to lead employees in entry-level positions  

●        Able to work with minimal supervision and determine task priorities

 

 

 

Additional Requirements:

●        Must be able to frequently stand, walk, view computer monitors, bend, squat, reach above shoulder level, and discern color.

●        Must be able to lift/carry up to 20 lbs.; occasionally lift/carry up to 40 lbs.

●        Must be able to tolerate exposure to extreme temperatures and temperature changes

●        Must report to work in a neat, clean uniform, which includes (Tops Shirt, Dark Pants, Non-Slip Shoes); and present a well-groomed, hygienic appearance.

●        Must be computer literate with basic knowledge of email, excel, and word programs.
