Position: Sales – Inside Sales/Customer Service Representative
Reports to: President-Sales Manager
Salary + Commission
ROLE SUMMARY: This position is responsible for establishing rapport with new customers and nurturing relationships with long-term customers by assisting them in developing solutions to meet their needs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Provide immediate response to any sales inquiry from customers or prospects.
- Discuss features and benefits of products and services offered.
- Source parts for the scope of work and determine labor hours required.
- Prepare detailed and descriptive written proposals.
- Communicate parts sourcing research to procurement.
- Create customer work orders including tasks and parts required.
- Coordinate with procurement and service to ensure expediency and customer satisfaction.
- Provide follow-up and superior customer service.
- Efficiently use computers, databases, and software programs to provide fast responses to customers.
- Sell Preventive Maintenance Contracts.
- Develop strong working relationships with customers to ensure long-term, repeat business.
- Additional duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS/EXPERIENCE:
- Industrial/Commercial Generator experience.
- Must be a self-starter and able to work independently.
- Good mechanical knowledge of generators and transfer switches.
- Computer skills to include use of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Email.
- Ability to read and interpret detailed scope of work required.
- Ability to call on customers professionally and in a timely manner.
- Must work well with others and possess good people skills.
