Job DescriptionJob Description

The Junior Technical Infrastructure Consultant (Jr. TIC) is responsible to help maintain our customer lab system in our Solon, Ohio office. This includes hardware/software setup, updates and maintenance. The Jr. TIC will work closely work the OLR QA team to ensure systems are in a state needed for testing. Jr. TIC will also be mentored by Senior TICs on all aspects of the TIC role to help them grow professionally. This opportunity will suit a recent graduate or Junior Technical Consultant and comes with excellent training & progression.

We rely on our Technical Infrastructure Consultants to:

  • Frequently perform installation and configuration of Oracle Retail application.
  • Regularly setup and maintain applications, servers, hardware and software environments
  • Occasionally assist project teams in validation/testing of hardware and software.
  • Regularly support and troubleshoot OLR and client environments
  • Receive and setup new equipment as needed
  • Assist and lean staging OLR process

Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

  • Self-starter
  • Ability to work under pressure to adhere to SLA's
  • Clear communication
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Troubleshooting capability in an independent way
  • Ability to quickly understand new complex situations
  • Ability to put in place quick workarounds, and then an action plan for root cause resolution.
  • Structured approach to problem resolution
  • Have a critical sense on existing problems and resolutions with the ability to propose improvements
  • Experience in Windows installation and imaging process
  • Experience in Java, XML, Ant scripting, Oracle Database, SQL Server Database

Experience Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Computer Science or related field
  • Experience in Windows PC support
  • Experience in Helpdesk Support
