CONCRETE CONSTRUCTION ESTIMATOR/PROJECT MANAGER

About the Job

Complete Concrete of Houston LLC subcontracts to install and finish cast-in-place concrete for commercial construction projects.  Recently, the partnership consolidated ownership interest by buying out two partners and we are now looking for an experienced estimator/project manager.  If you are an experienced professional with a proven track record in overseeing all stages of project life cycles, from bidding and winnings jobs, to providing project management during the job for successful bids (planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure), apply now – we are excited to hear from you.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • The successful candidate’s duties cover every facet of estimating, bidding, and project management, including:

    ·         estimating take-offs of construction plans

    ·         evaluating costs to execute job

    ·         developing and managing a project budget and forecast

    ·         knowledge of and familiarity with contract and bidding requirements

    ·         submitting of bids in a timely manner

    ·         attending necessary meetings (required pre-bid meetings and construction meetings)

    ·         subcontractor scheduling

    ·         coordinating with General Contractor

    ·         ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and quality standards

    ·         job organization, planning, and scheduling

    ·         day-to-day issues

    ·         project close out

    ·         building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders

    ·         continuous improvement of project management practices to enhance project delivery

    The successful candidate would be responsible for executing these duties in a professional manner that represents the company well and results in the completion of projects on time, on budget, and at a quality that meets or exceeds the customer's expectations.

Experience and Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate for this position should have:

    ·         minimum of 10 years experience estimating and project managing in commercial concrete construction, preferably in the Houston, Texas market

    ·         proven track record and personality for sales

    ·         excellent leadership skills

    ·         excellent time management skills

    ·         exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to handle complex challenges

    ·         excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels

    ·         high attention to detail and excellent organizational skills

    Compensation

    Compensation structure consists of a percentage commission, with the potential to convert the commission into ownership percentage as the company grows.  A royalty structure is also in place to allow compensation to increase as the candidate drives company growth to add estimators and/or project managers.
