Full Charge Bookkeeper

Reporting to the finance manager, the full charge bookkeeper will be responsible for managing the financial day to day actions of a company, which will include keeping the books (updated in real time), tracking cash flow and financial planning, analyzing the company's financial strengths and weaknesses, proposing corrective actions, preparing financial reports for the management team meetings, and providing insight into the financial health of the company.

Essential Responsibilities

Serve as the main accounting representative of the company, handling all daily transactions and managing all financial activities, while adhering to a strict code of ethics.

Drive the company’s accounting system and prepare the financial planning.

Perform risk management by analyzing the organization’s liabilities and investments.

Control and evaluate the organization capital structure.

Ensure cash flow is appropriate for the organization’s operations.

Prepare reliable forecasting reports based upon input from the Management Team, perform cost-benefit analysis.

Oversee the individual job costing process to be reviewed by the Management Team.

Set up and oversee the company’s finance/accounting IT system

Ensure compliance with the law and company’s policies, while overseeing taxation communicating with CPA’s, timely and accurately.

Review and confirm estimates and change orders are accurately entered into the system.

Coordinate with company AR/Payroll Clerk and AP/Customer Service and Vendor Coordinator.

Manage company payroll to ensure timely and accurate processing with appropriate job costing.

Contribute and have significant input into the company's investments, capital structure, and how the company manages its income and expenses.

Manage invoicing, A/R and A/P processes to maximize company cash position.

Track all corporate initiatives and their financial impact on cash flow.

Work with other senior managers and play a key role in a company's overall success, especially in the long run.

Focus on compliance and quality control for the business, provide significant insight into planning, and drive written process improvements.

Develop the company’s budget and reporting variances to the plan.

Engage with the company’s banking and insurance partners.

Concur on new investment initiatives, such as whether to proceed with new acquisitions or capital expenditures (“Cap Ex”).

Manage all HR functions while working with staff to create written documentation and improve the process for all activities including but not limited to onboarding/ offboarding, benefits, employee files, etc.

Character Traits, Qualifications and Skills

Must be available to work on-site and have 10 years of Construction Industry experience is required.

Degree in accounting, finance, or related field is preferred.

Solid work history showing progressive reliability and conscientiousness.

Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods.

Proficiency in the use of MS Office Products (Word and Excel) is required.

Excellent Accounting skills required – CPA is a plus.

Highly organized, ability to strategize and solve problems.

Confidentiality, strong leadership and organizational skills.

Excellent communication and people skills.

An analytical mind, comfortable with numbers.

Strong attention to detail, and the ability to deal with complexity thoroughly.

Experience in working with multiple entities under different legal umbrellas.
