Shift Details:
Full Time Days for NICU - Experience preferred with a Rotating Schedule.

Role Overview:
The Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse is responsible for delivering direct patient care within the neonatal intensive care unit. This role involves thorough assessment and tailored planning for individual patient needs. Effective communication with physicians regarding any changes in the neonate's clinical status is essential, including monitoring hemodynamics, interpreting diagnostic results, and recognizing symptoms.

Additional Responsibilities:

As a charge nurse, this position holds the authority to assign patient care tasks based on the skills, experience, and temperament of nursing staff, ensuring the safety of both patients and staff. The nurse will also mentor and guide team members in all aspects of patient care and management.

Participation in quality improvement initiatives is crucial, from planning to implementation and sustaining efforts, including taking corrective actions when necessary.

Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Regulatory Requirements:
- Current state Registered Nurse license.
- Certification in Neonatal IV Therapy within six months of hire.
- Basic neonatal cardiac monitoring certification within six months of hire.
- Certifications as indicated by the Steward Certification document.
- Completion of NICU orientation course.
- Certification in S.T.A.B.L.E. within six months of hire.
- Acquire 10 Neonatal Specific CEUs annually.
