Position Overview:

The Inventory, QC, Procurement Specialist is responsible for overseeing and monitoring the inventory tracking and reordering process, properly managing parts usage to minimize the number of system adjustments and help ensure accuracy of inventory and material planning. Also, responsible for tracking and coordinating all warrantied parts according to the company’s warranty procedure.

Essential Job Functions:

  • All aspects of inventory control for Bowe machine repair and maintenance
  • Establishing and maintaining parts usage rates, minimum stocking quantity, re-order inventory quantity and justification of stocking levels (set min. and max levels)
  • Accuracy, cycle counting and security of inventory, adjusting inventory usage daily
  • Work with management on parts and material planning
  • Initiating, tracking and receiving purchase orders, cross checking packing slip against quantity received, properly reconcile all discrepancies
  • Monitor the parts sign out procedure used by all technicians, ensure all old parts are returned to the supply crib location according to company procedure
  • Transfer inventory from dock location to proper bin location in NetSuite
  • Check bin location vs. part number in NetSuite to match against master bin locator program, properly noting any items that may need to be modified.
  • Perform weekly return requests on all warranty parts including shipping them per the instruction of the inventory manager
  • Ensure 100% audits are performed on all incoming products, inspect for quality and quantity
  • Perform routine cycle counts according to the cycle count procedures established
  • Coordinates activities involved with procuring goods, such as parts and supplies for Company. Review requisitions.
  • Confers with vendors to obtain product or service information, such as price, availability, and delivery schedule.
  • Select products for purchase by testing, observing, or examining
  • Prepare purchase orders or bid requests.
  • Maintains manual or computerized procurement records, such as items purchased, costs, delivery, product quality or performance, and inventories.
  • Discusses defective or unacceptable goods or services with vendors, and management to determine source of trouble and take corrective action.
  • May expedite delivery of goods to users.
  • Maintain good housekeeping practices on site and in the supply room
  • Other items / duties to jointly be developed as the need arises
  • Adhere to all of customer’s policies and procedures, including their safety protocols, employee conduct, confidentiality requirements, etc.

Qualifications or Skills Required:

  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and computer skills required
  • Knowledge in using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Experience using a computer based inventory system, ERP system/ Must learn NetSuite, training will be provided
  • Basic Math skills required
  • Excellent attention to detail required.
  • Experience in material handling equipment and procurement with basic understanding of logistics
  • Experience with International logistics and customs a plus
  • High degree of customer care skills
  • Ability to thrive under pressure
