Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDescriptionThe Fleet Admin plays a pivotal role in overseeing fleet maintenance and ensuring compliance with DOT regulations. This position requires auditing pre/post-trip effectiveness, managing hours of service (HOS) compliance, and maintaining a strong partnership with the fleet maintenance vendor. The Fleet Admin also handles vendor invoices, identifies performance gaps, manages fleet part inventories, and ensures vehicle compliance with in-service and out-of-service standards.

What you'll do:
  1. DOT Compliance: Ensure compliance with DOT regulations by auditing pre/post-trip effectiveness and identifying gaps in hours of service (HOS) compliance.
  2. Fleet Maintenance Partnership: Establish and maintain a daily partnership with the fleet maintenance vendor to schedule and conduct periodic maintenance as needed.
  3. Invoice Auditing: Audit vendor invoices and assess the effectiveness of repairs and maintenance, ensuring accurate billing and quality service.
  4. Performance Gap Identification: Identify and share performance gaps with Transportation Supervisors to drive improvements in fleet operations.
  5. Fleet Part Inventory: Procure and manage fleet part inventories, ensuring that necessary parts are readily available for maintenance and repairs.
  6. Vehicle Compliance: Monitor and ensure that vehicles are in service and comply with out-of-service standards.


What you'll have:
  • Prior experience in fleet maintenance is a must (Fleet Maintenance Experience a Must).
  • Proficiency in DOT regulations, including pre/post-trip inspections and hours of service (HOS) compliance.
  • Strong vendor management and partnership skills to schedule and conduct maintenance effectively.
  • Attention to detail and auditing skills to review vendor invoices and assess repair effectiveness.
  • Analytical skills to identify and communicate performance gaps to enhance fleet operations.
  • Inventory management expertise to procure and manage fleet part inventories.
  • Knowledge of in-service and out-of-service compliance standards for vehicles.
