In the SDR/ Sales Representative role, you will be responsible for prospecting for new customer opportunities. Your primary job will be to create your own book of customer’s who you will nurture and convert into enthusiastic customers while also helping to design and grow the systems and procedures necessary to service prospects for the company. Your number one goal will be to create new opportunities for both the company and for yourself so that both parties can enjoy overwhelming success.

Sales Representative Job Responsibilities:

  • Own the entire sales process from prospecting to close.
  • Prospect into mid-market to small enterprise companies to supplement the lead flow provided by the Marketing.
  • Develop a deep understanding of customers’ business and identify business drivers behind their technology initiatives.
  • Work closely with sales team members, multiple technical resources, and departmental teams to ensure you are aligned with the prospect’s business needs.
  • Recommend product, service, and policy changes by evaluating results and competitive developments.
  • Assist in resolving customer complaints by notifying the support team and ensuring client communication occurs.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and establishing personal / referral networks.
  • Maintaining records on customer sales and leads.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Sales Representative Qualifications/Skills:

  • 2-5+ years’ experience as a successful account executive selling to mid-market and small enterprise organizations.
  • Driven and have met or exceeded direct sales goals.
  • Experience selling into heavily regulated organizations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with prospects and customers through multiple mediums, such as phone or email, while properly explaining concepts and product sets.
  • Comfort with making cold calls to prospective clients to drive new business opportunities.
  • Be ready from day one to learn, on the job, so that you can meet your personal and financial goals in the most effective possible manner.

Bonus Skills:

  • Previous experience in IaaS and Datacenter sales.
  • Familiarity with the challenger sale.
  • Experience with Salesforce.
  • Experience with Sales Navigator
