Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough market research to identify potential vendors offering open top roll-off services.
  • Utilize various sourcing methods such as online databases, industry contacts, trade shows, and referrals.
  • Evaluate vendor qualifications, including capabilities, capacity, pricing, and reliability.
  • Initiate contact with prospective vendors to assess their interest and capability to partner with our company.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key vendor contacts to facilitate smooth communication and negotiation processes.
  • Review and analyze vendor proposals and quotations to determine the best fit for our company’s needs.
  • Coordinate and conduct vendor site visits as necessary to assess facilities and operational capabilities.
  • Negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts with selected vendors to secure favorable agreements.
  • Maintain a comprehensive database of all current and potential vendors, including performance metrics and contract details.
  • Monitor vendor performance and ensure compliance with contractual terms and service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Address and resolve any issues or disputes that arise with vendors promptly and effectively.
  • Work closely with internal departments, including operations, finance, and compliance, to ensure vendor selections meet all company requirements.
  • Prepare regular reports on vendor sourcing activities, including status updates, performance metrics, and cost analyses.
  • Participate in cross-functional team meetings to align vendor sourcing strategies with overall business objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in vendor sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in the waste management or construction industry.
  • Strong research and analytical skills to identify and evaluate potential vendors.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to establish and maintain vendor relationships.
  • Proficient in using sourcing and procurement software and tools.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
