Our Client, a well respected Texas Agency, is seeking an Accounting Professional with Government experience with a minimum of 2 years of experience. An ideal candidate would be able to reconcile, prepare journal entries, have a knowledge of fixed asset, grant reporting etc. We are looking for someone who has hands on experience with preparing journal entries, bank reconciliation, credit card transaction reconciliation, month-end close reconciliation, payroll process, prepare journal entries, assist with month-end closing, file claims, and process payroll.

100% on site
Conversion Salary range: $45k year
$22-23/hr
conversion after 1000 hours

Location: Stafford, TX 77477

Job Duties may include:

Responsibilities
Manage all accounting transactions.
Prepare budget forecasts.
Publish financial statements in time.
Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings.
Reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
Ensure timely bank payments.
Compute taxes and prepare tax returns.
Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements.
Basic Accounting
General Ledger
Capital Assets

On the job training

Due to training at the beginning, this position may start out at 35 hours each week and work up to 40.
