As our Director of Finance, you will tenaciously steer strategic financial initiatives, enhance departmental processes, and deliver crucial insights that drive business success. RESPONSIBILITIES

The responsibilities of the Director of Finance include but are not limited to:

  • Manage project accounting and implement accrual revenue recognition to ensure accurate financial reporting and control
  • Oversee reconciliation, assets and depreciation schedules, and monthly financial closeouts
  • Maintain optimal cash flow by overseeing Accounts Receivable
  • Develop comprehensive budgets aligned with strategic objectives
  • Manage and ensure accuracy of year-end financial statements
  • Ensure tax compliance with federal and state regulations, adhering to GAAP standards
  • Simplify payment processes to enhance client satisfaction and reduce friction
  • Develop, optimize, and document finance department processes, while continuously evaluating and enhancing financial controls
  • Collaborate with leadership to align financial strategies with industry trends and company goals, and serve as the primary resource for all financial inquires and reporting
  • Highlight trends and insights based on thorough data analysis
  • Provide financial expertise in lease negotiations
  • Secure capital for projects and acquisitions, leading financial due diligence
  • Collaborate to optimize recurring revenue streams
  • Assist in designing effective incentive programs with thorough analysis
  • Lead the purchasing department to optimize procurement and manage, classify, and control expenses, and identify cost savings opportunities
  • Build and manage the finance team, collaborating with HR to fill essential roles
  • Champion a deep understanding of our ERP system (Acumatica)
  • Establish and maintain network and banking relationships

 

** This is a full-time, remote position with up to 10% travel to our locations in Nebraska, Kansas, Texas, and other locations as needed. **

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • 10+ years of experience in finance or accounting
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in finance or accounting
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field
  • Experience with project-based accounting
  • Experience in a growing business

Preferred

  • ERP software experience
  • Experience in a company with locations in multiple states
  • Leadership in acquisitions
  • MBA or Master’s in Finance
  • Construction industry experience
  • Experience raising capital

Desired

  • Experience with Acumatica
  • Experience in analysis of incentive plans
  • EOS familiarity
  • Financial Risk Manager Certification
