Electrical Team Lead

Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Safety Champion:
    • Promote a culture of safety by ensuring that all team members adhere to safety protocols and drive a zero-incident mindset.
    • Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions to keep safety practices at the forefront of all activities.
    • Perform safety audits and inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  2. Customer Communication:
    • Provide clear explanations of the installation process to customers, addressing any questions or concerns.
    • Foster strong customer relationships by maintaining open lines of communication during your projects.
    • Ensure that customer feedback is gathered and addressed promptly to enhance overall satisfaction.
  3. Team Oversight:
    • Lead and supervise the installation team, ensuring efficient project completion and resolving any issues during installation.
    • Delegate tasks effectively, ensuring that team members are utilized according to their strengths and skills.
    • Monitor project timelines and adjust schedules as needed to meet deadlines.
  4. Installation Excellence:
    • Oversee the installation of custom lighting products at residential and commercial sites, following specific design and installation plans.
    • Ensure that installations are carried out to the highest standards of precision and quality.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that arise during installations.
  5. Technical Skills:
    • Route and fish wires through walls, ceilings, and other structures.
    • Make low voltage electrical connections with precision and accuracy.
    • Perform minor construction tasks as needed to support lighting installations.
    • Ensure all electrical work complies with local codes and standards.
  6. Quality Assurance:
    • Conduct thorough inspections of completed installations to ensure they meet our high standards of safety and quality.
    • Identify and correct any deficiencies in the installation process.
    • Maintain detailed records of installations and any issues encountered.
    • Provide feedback to improve installation processes and procedures.
  7. Tool Proficiency:
    • Proficiently use a variety of small hand tools and equipment, from basic tools to saws, ensuring proper and safe usage.
    • Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
    • Stay updated on the latest tools and technologies in the industry.

  2. Experience:
    • Proven experience in electrical systems, construction, and working at heights, with a strong focus on safety.
    • Experience in managing projects from inception to completion.
  3. Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in routing and fishing wires, making basic electrical connections, and understanding construction and framing principles.
    • Familiarity with a wide range of small hand tools and equipment.
    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  4. Education and Training:
    • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in electrical construction or a related field preferred.
    • Ongoing commitment to professional development and staying current with industry trends.
  5. Additional Requirements:
    • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation, as this role may require travel to various installation sites.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
