Low Voltage Electrical Technician

Position Overview:

Join our team as a Low Voltage Electrical Technician, where you will transform homes and businesses with state-of-the-art lighting solutions. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Customer Service:
    • Engage with customers in a respectful and professional manner.

    • Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering high-quality service and support.
  2. Work at Heights:
    • Safely operate ladders and aerial equipment to access installation sites.
    • Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols while working at heights.
    • Conduct pre-installation assessments to identify any potential hazards.
    • Use appropriate safety gear and equipment at all times.
  3. Installation Excellence:
    • Install custom lighting products at both residential and commercial sites according to specific design and installation plans.
    • Follow detailed blueprints and schematics to ensure precise installation.
    • Collaborate with team members to complete installations efficiently and effectively.
    • Perform troubleshooting and resolve any installation issues that arise.
  4. Technical Skills:
    • Route and fish wires through walls, ceilings, and other structures.
    • Make low voltage electrical connections with precision and accuracy.
    • Perform minor construction tasks as needed to support lighting installations.
    • Ensure all electrical work complies with local codes and standards.
  5. Quality Assurance:
    • Conduct thorough inspections of completed installations to ensure they meet our high standards of safety and quality.
    • Identify and correct any deficiencies in the installation process.
    • Maintain detailed records of installations and any issues encountered.
    • Provide feedback to improve installation processes and procedures.
  6. Tool Proficiency:
    • Use a variety of small hand tools and equipment, including basic tools and saws.
    • Ensure proper and safe usage of all tools and equipment.
    • Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
    • Stay updated on the latest tools and technologies in the industry.

Qualifications:

  1. Experience:
    • Experience working at heights. Previous experience in electrical systems and construction is a plus.
    • Strong focus on safety and adherence to safety protocols.
    • Ability to work independently in the field and as part of a larger installation team.
  2. Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in routing and fishing wires, making basic electrical connections, and understanding construction and framing principles.
    • Familiarity with a wide range of small hand tools and equipment.
    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  3. Education and Training:
    • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in electrical construction or a related field preferred.
    • Ongoing commitment to professional development and staying current with industry trends.
  4. Additional Requirements:
    • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation, as this role may require travel to various installation sites.
    • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
