Position Overview: As a Residential New Home Construction HVAC Estimator, you will play a crucial role in our team, focusing on estimating and designing HVAC systems for new residential construction projects. This position offers the opportunity to work alongside a supportive team of industry professionals, receive comprehensive training, and contribute to the growth of our company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Size and design HVAC systems using industry-standard software.
- Prepare ductwork designs and ensure compliance with local codes.
- Complete permitting documentation and energy calculations.
- Estimate material and labor costs per project.
- Maintain accurate records and adapt documentation to reflect onsite construction changes.
- Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure project success.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to adapt to new tools and processes.
- Prior experience with Wrightsoft and EnergyGuage software preferred but not required.
- Physical capability to perform desk work and occasional lifting up to 15 pounds.
