This role is responsible for coordinating, supervising and leading business unit employee activities to meet production schedules and quality, cost and safety objectives while driving continuous improvement in all work practices. The Production Supervisor is also responsible for the professional development of unit employees through coaching, mentoring, training, advancement and discipline.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsibility and authority for quality of all processes performed by the machining department. Recommends process improvements to produce a conforming component in the most efficient manner possible.
  • Ensure adherence to production schedule and support production by resolving issues and stepping in when necessary. Assure travelers are completed in the proper sequence and signed/stamped and dated by appropriate persons. Ensure use of ERP system accurately and appropriately document jobs.
  • Be the point person for troubleshooting all set-up, technical and related problems within your unit.

Qualifications:

Advanced technical or engineering training preferred. High School or equivalency and technical training required.

  • Prior experience with complex aerospace components preferred. Prior experience with set-up, tooling/fixturing, offsets and program modifications of first piece.
  • Regularly required to stand; frequently required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. Required to occasionally sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch. Occasionally lift or move with assistance (hoist) up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required for close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus.
