Thoroughly learn the company’s products and systems and how they are
applied in each segment we serve.
• Serve as a working leader managing and increasing sales in the assigned
region. Attain personal sales goals and demonstrate a “lead by example”
approach to identifying and developing new business opportunities. Develop
long and short term plans to increase top-line revenue in the region.
• Prioritize sales opportunities in the assigned region. Balance your time
between traveling to visit end users, calling on independent sales reps, and
working as an “inside sales” resource following up on leads, calling customers
(phone or Zoom) to set up appointments, converting leads into quotes and
quotes into sales orders.

• Manage the independent sales reps in the region. Visit with them regularly,
measure rep performance, hire/fire, train and assist them as needed. Search
for, identify and hire new independent sales reps in the region when openings
arise
• Develop a keen understanding of customer requirements by segment. Focus,
monitor and assess customer trends, unmet needs, market dynamics, and
competitive activities to provide superior insight for opportunity identification,
resource allocation and decision making in the region.
• Work closely with companies’ engineering and operations resources to
ensure selling opportunities with existing products and customers are properly
supported. Assist with Inside Sales activities including customer support and
follow up.
Qualifications and Experience
• An undergraduate degree is required, technical preferred, and in addition, at
least 10 years of relevant sales experience is required including experience
successfully selling longer cycle, technical capital equipment to industrial
customers often in a “consultative sales” role.
• Experience with engineering and mechanical equipment and/or other related
technical experience is required. Interest in becoming technically savvy about
our products and customers’ applications, with the confidence to interact
internal and external engineering and plant maintenance professionals.
• Experience with industrial process and wastewater treatment, especially oil
removal and filtration would be helpful, but not mandatory.
• Good appetite and experience traveling and success allocating time between
office (“inside”) sales activities and traveling (“outside”) to achieve and exceed
sales goals. 25% is minimum expected.
• Demonstrated ability to partner with counterparts in other key functional
disciplines is expected.
• Demonstrated competence and a very high level of comfort with common
computer software (Word and Excel) as well as CRM software. (Preferably
SalesForce.com.)
• Potential assignments in international sales regions are likely; experience with
international sales is preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience with a “pay for performance” oriented bonus oriented
compensation formula preferred.
