Administrative Support Assistant

Location: Taos-Picuris Indian Health Center NM
Pay Range: $19-23/ hour
Tentative Starting Date: 07/01/2024
Shift: Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Closed on Federal Holidays
40 hours per week (with a one-half hour, NON-PAID lunch break).
Contract Length: 1 year with option to extend for 4 more years

 

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated Administrative Assistant with excellent communication skills and a positive attitude to join our team.

The ideal candidate will assist management and all visitors to the company by handling various office tasks, providing professional assistance via phone, mail, and e-mail, making travel arrangements, and ensuring a positive and helpful presence in the workplace.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle office tasks such as filing, generating reports and presentations, setting up for meetings, and reordering supplies.
  • Provide real-time scheduling support by booking appointments and preventing conflicts.
  • Screen phone calls and direct callers to the appropriate party.
  • Use computers to generate reports, transcribe meeting minutes, create presentations, and conduct research.
  • Greet and assist visitors courteously and professionally.
  • Maintain polite and professional communication via phone, e-mail, and mail.
  • Anticipate the needs of others to ensure a seamless and positive experience.

Requirements:

  • 1 year of prior administrative experience.
  • Medical setting experience and knowledge of Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems. is preferred
  • Excellent computer skills, especially typing, database handling knowledge
  • Able to create and present reports, and presentations
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Three verifiable references addressing the applicant's reliability and stability including interpersonal interaction.
