OVERVIEW

As Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Specialist you will manage the day-to-day financial transactions, including processing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling invoices, and ensuring accurate and timely financial record-keeping. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a thorough understanding of accounting principles to contribute to the smooth operation of our finance department.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Accounts Payable:
    • Process and verify invoices, ensuring proper documentation and authorization.
    • Prepare and execute payments, including checks, ACH, and wire transfers.
    • Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies.
    • Maintain vendor relationships and respond to inquiries regarding payments.
    • Monitor and manage AP aging reports, ensuring timely payments.
  • Accounts Receivable:
    • Generate and issue customer invoices in a timely manner.
    • Post payments and manage accounts receivable records.
    • Follow up on outstanding invoices and coordinate collections efforts.
    • Reconcile AR transactions and resolve any discrepancies.
    • Prepare AR aging reports and monitor customer payment trends.
  • General Accounting Support:
    • Assist in month-end closing activities, including preparing journal entries.
    • Support the preparation of financial statements and reports.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulations.
    • Collaborate with the finance team to improve processes and enhance efficiency.
    • Participate in audits by providing documentation and supporting data.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in accounts payable and receivable roles, with a strong understanding of accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

CERTIFICATES AND/OR LICENSES REQUIREMENTS

  • No specific certifications or licenses are required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to work extended hours during the week and on weekends is often required to meet deadlines
