As the SEM Manager, I am responsible for leading a dynamic SEM team, fostering a results-driven work ethic department-wide, and ensuring the success of SEM campaigns for diverse clientele, including medical professionals such as plastic surgeons, oral surgeons, and med spas. This role is pivotal in driving revenue through effective Google Ad campaigns as well as other forms of paid advertising and maintaining transparent communication with clients.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor SEM team members, as well as cultivate a results-oriented work culture that thrives on continuous improvement and innovation.

  • Mentorship: Regularly check in with team members to provide support, guidance, and coaching, ensuring their professional development and growth.

  • Client Interaction: Ensure that the SEM team is well-prepared and up to standard for client-facing meetings, effectively presenting campaign progress and results.

  • Campaign Oversight: Take charge of overseeing the success of SEM campaigns, from strategy development to execution, optimization, and performance evaluation.

  • Budget Management: Ensure that client ad spend is allocated and utilized appropriately to maximize ROI and meet client goals.

  • Client Onboarding: Manage the onboarding process for new SEM clients, ensuring a smooth and positive client experience from the start.

  • Transparency: Maintain open and transparent communication with clients regarding their ad spend, return on ad spend (ROAS), and campaign performance.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments to innovate products and troubleshoot issues, ensuring a cohesive approach to meeting client needs.

  • Analytics Tracking: Collaborate with the team to assist with analytics tracking - whether it's for general reporting in Analytics Reviews or assisting with technical setups. Maintain active reporting for all paid ad campaigns.

  • Product innovation: Responsible for executing delivery of products as they relate to paid advertising, including new & existing paid ad products that fall under SEM marketing.

  • Other duties: Other duties as assigned in the case additional support is needed in another department.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience working with Google Ads and other forms of paid advertising or education related to the field. (with a preference for experience in medical marketing.)

  • Digital Analytics: proficiency with Google Analytics 4 tracking, reporting, and testing.

  • Marketing knowledge: Strong understanding of core marketing services, including SEO.

  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills to effectively convey campaign performance and strategies to clients and team members.

  • Budget Management: Ability to manage medium to larger-scale budgets effectively.

  • Proven Track Record: Proven track record of past campaigns with measurable ROI information.

  • Call Tracking Experience: Experience with call tracking or lead tracking systems is preferred.
