Job DescriptionJob Description

Responsibilities

  • Opening and Closing Jobsite – Should be there prior to subcontractors and on site after all subcontractors leave for the day.
  • Enforce Safety and Job Cleanliness – will include safety orientations, JHAs, Hot Work Permits, etc.

Communication:

  • Assist in communication to subcontractors and their foremen. Able to prepare a foreman’s meeting, agenda, issue meeting minutes
  • Be able to guide and communicate with Project Management on construction issues
  • Be able to assist in job sequencing and scheduling

Logistics:

  • Capable of coordinating the logistics to support the project and altering logistics plan as needed
  • Will apply for no parking permits and install signs. Understands City / municipal requirements

Schedule:

  • Has a general grasp of durations of typical activities
  • Able to build a 2-week and 6 week lookahead for direct reports
  • Can identify all tasks of a main or sub task set and identify the schedule drivers

Management:

  • Able to generate RFIs, can identify conflicts within drawings
  • Understands Submittals and will identify material / job specifications

Documentation

  • Complete Daily Reports, Manpower Logs
  • 3rd Party reports (concrete breaks, soils and compaction reports, etc., and capture repairs & solutions)
  • Generate Punchlists and complete punchlist tasks
  • Schedule, sequencing, completing logs to track subcontractor work
  • Track laborer hours, keep log for payroll

Miscellaneous

·        Knowledge of means and methods, able to ascertain improper tool use or machine use

·        Able to use tools, machines, etc.
