Position Summary:

Responsible to manage all aspects of maintenance engineering to include mechanical, electrical and plumbing. Lead the maintenance team in implementing Company maintenance and reliability strategy aimed at reducing breakdowns and extending manufacturing equipment life while maximizing labor and cost efficiency. Ensure all mechanical, electrical and plumbing projects, initiatives and processes are in conformance with organization's goals and established policies and objectives.

Essential Position Functions and Duties:

  • Develop, implement and manage maintenance of plant machinery and facility.
  • Perform analysis of projects, initiatives and processes to establish and strategize a plan, schedule appropriate staffing and coordinate start to finish of each project.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional business teams to develop the best economic strategy for company plans and projects. Ensure on-time project completion.
  • Adhere to established company policies, procedures, terms and conditions and regulations that affect maintenance procedures and policies. Establish and implement methods and best practices related to maintenance activities which meet company policies such as The Good Manufacturing Policies and other policies, procedures and goals.
  • Manage and supervise maintenance staff. Hire, evaluate, mentor, motivate, train, and discipline employees within company established policies and procedures. Evaluating employee skills, support and encourage employee skill improvement and facilitate professional growth and development of the team members.
  • Identify, develop and manage effective relationships with existing and potential suppliers of goods and services to meet the established cost, quality and delivery targets.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by implementing, maintaining and aligning company policies that adhere to local, state and federal environmental, health and safety regulations.
  • Manage, operate, edit and update machinery software.
  • Conduct departmental meetings and report to Plant Manager.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent (combination of education credits and relevant full-time experience).
  • 5 to 7 years’ experience in maintenance management in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPT) or food manufacturing. Previous supervisory/managerial experience for 5 or more direct personnel.
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint – Intermediate Proficiency.
  • English (Speaking/Listening).
  • Must be able to lead by example and motivate employees to create a challenging, empowering and collaborative working environment.
