JOB SUMMARY:

Strong client relationships and attentive communication with independent pet retailers is at the forefront of Grandma Lucy’s efforts to deliver our award-winning pet food and treats to as many families as possible. This person will have laser like focus on results and customer service. This goal driven individual will exceed market objectives and bring their passion for winning to our team. We are looking for a Territory Sale Representative that is excited to meet the challenges of the evolving and growing Pet Industry. This role requires someone with background in sales and very strong communication skills. If this is you, come join our exciting team
What you will love to do in this role:
Independent Retail Store Relationship Building - Visit our amazing pet store partners frequently. Educating staff on our incredible foods and treats. Ensure product displays are looking top-notch in stores and rotating or adding POP when necessary.
Driving Sales - Create creative new business proposals to open new retail accounts and expand assortments in existing accounts.
Distribution Partner Support - Manage relationships with Distribution Territory Reps providing ride alongs, training and support.
Sales Strategy and Execution – Work with our Director of Sales and Key Account Manager to create and execute retail support and sales initiatives.
New Opportunity Discovery - Proactively identifies new opportunities within existing assigned customer base and within the independent pet retail channel.
Spreading the Brand Message - Plans and executes regional trade shows, festivals and demo opportunities regularly promoting the brand in the region.
WHAT A WORK WEEK WILL LOOK LIKE:
Wake up, have some coffee and then hit the road to spread the Grandma Lucy’s love Monday through Friday, you will get to travel within the multi-state region in your car to visit pet product retailers. Some weeks will have 2 to 4 night stays in hotels. This role requires 60%+ travel. Please do not apply if you cannot be on the road visiting accounts 5 days a week, with some overnight stays. In addition to your weekly store visits, you will also have to opportunity to attend 1 to 2 weekend events per month to promote the Grandma Lucy’s brand.
