Canino Psychotherapy is a private practice located in Dumbo, Brooklyn. Founded in 2005 and with over 200 years of experience among our therapists, we are known for providing the highest quality of care while treating every patient with the kindness and respect they deserve.

We are seeking a fee-for-service LMSW to provide individual therapy to an ethnically and culturally diverse population of children, adolescents, and adults. Weekly supervision is provided by a therapist with 10-plus years of experience.

This position is to see 30-40 clients per week. We require split time between remote (70-80%) and in-office (20-30%).

Qualifications and Skills

  • Master's Degree in Social Work or MHC
  • Licensure required - Valid NYS LMSW 
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Sensitivity to cultural, religious, racial, disability, and gender issues.
  • Computer literacy (slack, Gmail, calendars management) is needed to manage clients via email follow-ups and online calendars.

This is an opportunity to work with a dedicated staff of professionals in a clinical environment. You will be able to collect the hours needed for your next license.
