Job Summary

Adapt Medical Professional Services is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Therapist to join our team. As a Psychotherapist (Dependent), Fee for Service, you will provide direct clinical services to individuals, collateral family members, and groups.

Key Responsibilities
  • Under the supervision of the Clinical Supervisor, provide direct psychotherapy treatment, perform assessments as needed, develop treatment plans, and guide the treatment process.
  • Develop a treatment plan and goal based on assessment with Clinical Supervisor.
  • Integrate and provide therapeutic services in or home of person served through consultation with parent/guardian and staff as needed.
  • Document activities and results on patients' records in accordance with practices' policy and procedures.
  • Document progress on all active cases in therapy, monitor therapy status, and make appropriate recommendations as changes occur.
  • Refer patients to other clinical services if such referral is felt appropriate.
  • Follow all regulations regarding service provision and billing.
  • Participate in Quality Assurance activities as needed.
  • Participate in Clinical Supervision in accordance with practice guidelines, scope of practice, and state regulations.
  • Maintain up-to-date licensure in accordance with IPSIDD regulations.
Requirements
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Good interpersonal skills are required in order to interact effectively with employees, coworkers, patients, their families, other programs, outside contacts, etc.
  • Due to the sensitive nature of the position, must be able to maintain the strictest confidentiality.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks.
  • Good organizational skills.
Qualifications
  • Master's in Social Work, Masters in Mental Health Counseling, Masters in Child and Family Therapy, or must have a Master's degree in a clinical and/or treatment field of psychology.
  • Current NY State license as Licensed Master Social Work (LMSW), Marriage and Family Therapist, or Licensed Mental Health Counseling OR Limited Permit in Mental Health Counseling, and Marriage and Family Therapist.
