We are currently seeking a Construction Project Coordinator with strong moral and ethical character to manage and facilitate our residential construction and development projects. As a Construction Project Coordinator you will be responsible for coordinating our construction projects including, but not limited to, the following:

  • Locating, negotiating, and ordering materials for construction jobs
  • Scheduling contractors for work to be performed
  • Regularly seeking new contractors and suppliers to ensure company is getting the best price and timeliest service possible
  • Verifying arrival of building materials and confirming order accuracy to meet a progress schedule
  • Managing construction software for creation of purchase orders, managing job scheduling and monitoring critical path timelines
  • Working in a proactive manner for planning and ordering of labor and materials and being proactive in troubleshooting issues to keep projects on schedule
  • Working closely with the jobsite Construction Manager(s) for verification of work completion and material deliveries
  • Preparing weekly software-generated reports to keep the team updated on project status

As a Construction Project Coordinator you must be a very dedicated and professional leader who takes ownership of your responsibilities and goes above and beyond to exceed goals and expectations. Qualified candidates are able to influence others, lead others and create a team-oriented environment. You must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously while being innovative and creative in challenging situations.

Other requirements of the Construction Project Coordinator role include:

  • Experience in construction coordination & management or related field preferred, but not required
  • Verifiable employment history with no recent terminations
  • People skills a must – must be able to work well in a team environment including with co-workers, contractors, and vendors
  • Excellent computer skills, including MS-Excel, email and willingness to learn new Construction Management software
  • Ability to work in a professional manner with a professional demeanor
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing demands and priorities
  • Ability to work proactively to ensure timely project completion
  • Some college/university experience preferred, but not required

The ideal candidate should be able to work with a great deal of independence, using their problem-solving and people skills to successfully manage the completion of construction projects.
