Medical Office Receptionist, Ophthalmic Plastic Surgery

A busy doctor’s office and surgery center is looking for a full-time friendly medical receptionist for the front desk. Duties will include welcoming patients, answering the phones (very high call volume), processing new patient paperwork, incoming referrals, scheduling appointments, checking patients in and out, and miscellaneous front office duties. Must be focused on customer service and able to work collaboratively as part of a team. Must be able to multi-task, as you will be constantly interrupted. We're looking for a great attitude A knowledge of cosmetic services and EMR systems is a plus. Hours are approximately 7:30 am - 4:30 pm Monday - Friday.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Greeting everyone who enters the office
- Answering the phone (very high call volume)
- Taking detailed messages
- Scheduling appointments
- Managing incoming referrals
- Processing new patient paperwork
- Checking patients in and out
- Collecting money from patients
- Handling medical records
- Interacting positively with staff team, vendors, and patients
- Serving as backup for other team members
- Miscellaneous office duties
Requirements:
- At least 1 year of experience working in a medical office is preferred
- Fluent in Spanish, preferred
- Type 50 wpm or more
- High School diploma or GED
- Zip Recruiter Screening Questionnaire must be completed for job consideration
